The Hague was founded around 1230 and became the traditional seat of the Dutch Queen, the Parliament and the Government. The city has a rich history and its centre is formed by a group of the Binnenhof Buildings with little lanes from the late medieval times. The Scheveningen Seaside Resort in the northwest part of the city is one of the tourists' favourite destinations. With 10 million visitors every year, it is the most popular seaside resort in Benelux.
