The London Eye

The London Eye

Erected in 1999, the 135m (443 ft), London Eye was at one time the world’s largest Ferris wheel, conceptualized and designed by Marks Barfield, a husband and wife architectural team. The couple submitted their concept for a gigantic observation (Ferris) wheel as part of a competition to design and construct a landmark for the new millennium. Located along the River Thames London’s South Bank, this spectacular landmark should definitely be on your "Things to Do" list.
