The Austrian Parliament is monumental building situated on circular Ringstrasse Boulevard around the city center, near the Vienna City Hall and Hofburg. Austrian Parliament Building was designed by architect Theophil von Hansen and under his leadership was construction of the building finished the in the end of 19th century. Austrian Parliament Building referr to ancient Greece, the cradle of democracy.

Before entering the building you can see an integral part of the Austrian Parliament Building that is the fountain, decorated with a sculpture of Pallas Athena the Greek goddess of wisdom. This fountain was built in 1902 and the original sculpture should depict the personification of Austria. But eventually was used Pallas Athena as a symbol of wisdom overseeing sessions in parliament. Statues of seated figures on the pedestal of the fountain show the four rivers of the former empire - the Danube, Inn, Vltava and Elbe.
 
The Austrian Parliament is open to the public and everyone can look at the progress of advanced forms of European democracy. Behind the entrance portal is columned hall, known from the television broadcasts of speeches by representatives of the Austrian Republic. During the visit, then you can enter into individual meeting rooms, where you will receive expert instruction on the activities of the Austrian Parliament.
